Width

The width of a staple is the measurement of the top portion, or the crown.

The crown can be wide, medium, or narrow.

Some manufacturers measure the inside of the crown, while others measure the outside.

It's important to use the correct size staple for your project, as using the wrong size can damage the material or prevent the staple from going in.
